pencil drawing first, and then the hair was done using ink (flick the brush bristles to get the finer spatter and blow it with a straw to get the streaks)...then scanned into photoshop for colouring (:

I like how simple this is! I'm no good at simplicity, so it's very inspirational! I like the colour at her cheeks too! That small bit of colour is really cool.

i would seriously really love to learn how you keep the ink so uniformed.
every time i try it, it gets all over the place and ruins my drawings TT^TT

aw hahha i'm def not an expert but i find its easier to control where the ink goes if you brush the area with water first - then when you apply the ink, it will only bleed/follow the flow of the wet areas instead of bleeding into other parts of your drawing. using too much water/ink can also cause it to 'overflow', but its pretty easy to soak up any excess with the corner of a tissue if that starts to happen. i also tend to start with a light wash first before going back to build up the darker areas with a more loaded brush. hope that helps ^^
