pencil drawing first, and then the hair was done using ink (flick the brush bristles to get the finer spatter and blow it with a straw to get the streaks)...then scanned into photoshop for colouring (:
I really adore faces of your girls! Your use of traditional materials is perfect. I have a folder on m PC with your drawings, nearly every day I spend my time watching them))) I wish you had larger versions of your drawings!
aw hahha i'm def not an expert but i find its easier to control where the ink goes if you brush the area with water first - then when you apply the ink, it will only bleed/follow the flow of the wet areas instead of bleeding into other parts of your drawing. using too much water/ink can also cause it to 'overflow', but its pretty easy to soak up any excess with the corner of a tissue if that starts to happen. i also tend to start with a light wash first before going back to build up the darker areas with a more loaded brush. hope that helps ^^
